Overview

AegisLocker is a professional data protection solution designed to safeguard sensitive files. With enterprise‑grade encryption and strict licensing controls, AegisLocker ensures that your information remains secure, accessible only to authorized users, and compliant with modern data protection standards.

Installation & Activation

1.            Run the installer provided by JL IT Solutions.

2.            On first launch, create your secure password.

3.            Enter your license key to activate AegisLocker.

4.            Once activated, you can lock, unlock, and share files securely.

Note: Installation of AegisLocker constitutes acceptance of the License Agreement and Service Level Agreement.


Use Instructions

1. Locking Files

•             Open AegisLocker.

•             Enter your password in the Password field.

•             Click Lock to encrypt the files within the AegisLocker directory.

•             A confirmation message will appear once files are secured.


2. Unlocking Files

•             Open AegisLocker.

•             Enter your password in the Password field.

•             Click Unlock to decrypt the files within the AegisLocker directory.

•             The folder will open automatically in Windows Explorer.


3. Creating a Password (First‑Time Setup)

•             On first launch, click Create Password.

•             Enter a new password when prompted.

•             The password is securely stored as a SHA‑256 hash.


4. Resetting a Password

•             Click Reset Password.

•             Log a support call with JL IT Solutions.

•             Create a new user password when prompted.


5. Sharing a File

•             Click Share File.

•             Select the file you want to share.

•             AegisLocker will encrypt the file and generate a Share Code.

•             Provide the Share Code to the recipient securely.


6. Unlocking a Shared File

•             Click Unlock Shared File.

•             Select the encrypted file.

•             Enter the Share Code provided by the sender.

•             The file will be decrypted and restored.
